Charlotte Rivera is a journalist for a women’s magazine. She has absolutely no interest in sports, so is surprised when her boss assigns her the exclusive interview of NFL and most sexiest sports star, Joey Parker.
A mutual attraction develops between the pair and they decide to date. But things do not go well for Charlotte and she breaks it off.
Can Charlotte see more to her relationship with Joey than the celebrity hype that is attached to him?
I’m really sorry but I did not like this book. I know it is part of a series and the story will develop through the parts but to be honest, I don’t care enough about the characters to want to read the rest of the series.
Charlotte makes absolutely no sense. She is a journalist and, by definition, works for the media but she gets all stressed out because the paparazzi take a photo of her with Joey…well duh! that’s what they do. And as for what happened on there second date…seriously, that happened after only 2 dates! How unfortunate. I also don’t get the deep emotional feelings that the pair have got for each other after only 2 dates, and how they can know that they are ‘the one’ for each other. Charlotte likes Hugh to begin with but it took a couple of months for him to start getting on her nerves, how does she know that this will not happen with Joey as well?
This book has no real story line and no character build-up, but I think the most annoying thing about it was the continual use of the words ‘snickered’, ‘giggled’ and ‘smirked’. These must be the happiest people around because that is all they do.
I’m afraid this book really didn’t grab my attention and therefore I will not be reading anymore in the series.
