Realising that she was not ready for what had happened on the night of her prom, Katie Winslow left her boyfriend and one true love and ran off to college. Now she is desperate and only Brindle will be able to satisfy her needs.
Brindle Lindholm knows what he wants and he knows that she needs him, especially now. When mating season strikes only your true mate can satisfy you, if only Katie would believe in her true mate.
Returning home, Katie must face not only Brindle but the pack. Can she adapt to what she has become or will she forever fight against it?
What can I say? Disappointing.
I have read a couple of shifter books before and they were quite short but this one was over before it begun. There was no real story, and what there was didn’t have any depth to it. The writing was simplistic and lacked much description. Could have been improved if it had started with a build up towards prom and the after effects of what happened before forwarding to college. And then at the end we leap forward again without answering any of the questions that have been brought up throughout the book, for instance, did she ever tell her family and how did it go? How different was the birthing process? and many more.
Not inspired me to read the rest of the series.
