Cowboy Command – Cowboy Justice Association #1 by Olivia Jaymes

Katie thought her life had finally settled down.  She had a good job with an attentive boss, and a sister who had helped her get her job.  But that all came to an end when she narrowly escaped a car bomb, planted in her car, taken away by the Feds and then given a new identity.

Now living in a small apartment over the Sheriff’s office in Harper, Montana. Presley Lawson is in the protective care of Sheriff Seth Reilly.

Seth Reilly likes things neat, tidied and ordered.  Due to his demanding ways he struggles to keep girlfriends or secretaries. His current girlfriend is quiet, practical and safe – more friends than lovers. The sparks that fly when he is close to Presley puts him on edge.  He knows that she is under his protection for some chaos that has encroached on her life but he really doesn’t want that chaos in his.

When her life catches up to her, can Seth and Presley escape the danger they face both physically and emotionally?

As far as alpha male/damsel in distress stories goes, this wasn’t too bad although it did get slow in the middle and you feel like skipping ahead to see when the action is going to start up.  The story line was very predictable and the characters where the usual opposites attract.  The ‘twist’ in the bad guy tale could be seen a mile away, quite frankly it was obvious in the the first few chapters. Saying all that though, if you don’t want anything too heavy but like a little mystery with your romance then this is worth a try, just don’t expect anything too gripping.

This is the first in a series and the main male characters are introduced to us in this first book.  Although I haven’t yet read the other books I don’t think that it would matter too much if they were read out of order.  I may at a later date read some more of this series.

I love to Read! Mostly romance (of all types) but I also enjoy murder mysteries, paranormal fantasy, sci-fi, comedy, pretty much anything.
