As far as alpha male/damsel in distress stories goes, this wasn’t too bad although it did get slow in the middle and you feel like skipping ahead to see when the action is going to start up. The story line was very predictable and the characters where the usual opposites attract. The ‘twist’ in the bad guy tale could be seen a mile away, quite frankly it was obvious in the the first few chapters. Saying all that though, if you don’t want anything too heavy but like a little mystery with your romance then this is worth a try, just don’t expect anything too gripping.
This is the first in a series and the main male characters are introduced to us in this first book. Although I haven’t yet read the other books I don’t think that it would matter too much if they were read out of order. I may at a later date read some more of this series.
