Derek is a graphic designer for an ad agency who is sailing through life, single and living in his parents basement. His best friend Owen owns his own home, is a successful pharmaceutical rep and a playboy. They have been best friends since school and when Owen decided to give Derek a make-over things take on different outlook.
Derek’s life is beginning to fall apart. His boss has given him two weeks to prove himself or he’s fired, his parents have given a month to move out, and to top it all off he has met a girl.
Adelaide does not believe in love. Being rejected from an early age has jaded her ideas of happy ever after and with that the need to be in a long-term relationship. When she crashes her ex-boyfriends wedding she finds more than she bargained for. Following a hot and steamy night with not one but two gorgeous men, Adelaide realises that feelings are running deeper for everyone.
Finding Adelaide again is a must for Derek and when he does it not only his feelings for her that surface but also for his best friend. Can the three find a way to for a relationship where everyone is happy? Will Owen be receptive to Derek’s thoughts and fantasies?
M/M/F menage romance
Very good story of unconventional love in a modern world. I’m all for ‘what goes on behind closed doors is no-one else’s business’ and that is exactly how these three play it. I have read several menage/polyamory based books. Some have been very good (will be blogged when I have reread them), some not so good. This one dealt with the range of emotions, the ‘what if’s’ and the practicalities of being in this type of relationship.
My opinion – If you are not hurting anyone then do what makes you happy.
